About the Role

Smartedge Consulting is looking for an experienced
Freelance Business Development Consultant
to identify and develop B2B consulting opportunities across India.





This is an
independent contractor engagement
, not a full-time employment position.

The consultant will be responsible for identifying prospective organizations, initiating business discussions, understanding customer requirements and coordinating qualified opportunities with the Smartedge consulting team.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development
- Identify prospective B2B customers across relevant industries.
- Generate leads through professional networks, referrals, direct outreach and other legitimate business-development channels.
- Introduce Smartedge's consulting and training services to prospective clients.
- Understand initial customer requirements and identify suitable service opportunities.
- Arrange introductory meetings between prospects and Smartedge's technical team.
- Maintain regular follow-up with prospective customers.
- Support the sales process until the prospect is converted or closed.
