Test Architect

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Architect with deep expertise in Functional Testing, Quality Engineering, and Test Strategy to drive quality transformation across enterprise applications. This role will be responsible for defining test architectures, establishing quality governance, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage across complex business processes.

The ideal candidate should possess strong functional testing expertise, hands-on experience in API Testing, solid database knowledge, and working knowledge of Selenium-based/Playwright based automation frameworks to guide automation strategy and implementation.

Work Mode: Work from Office (5 Days/Week) – Clean Room Environment

Shift Timing: 3:00 PM IST – 12:00 AM IST (2:00 PM IST – 11:00 PM IST during Daylight Savings Period)

Location: Bangalore / Chennai

Key Responsibilities

- Experience leading large-scale initiatives from planning through execution while coordinating across cross-functional teams.
- The ability to balance hands-on testing responsibilities with leadership responsibilities on complex testing efforts.
- Define and drive enterprise-wide test strategy, quality standards, and test governance.
- Establish end-to-end test architecture covering Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and UAT testing.
- Lead test planning, risk assessment, test design reviews, and release quality sign-offs.
- Drive testing strategy and ensure robust validation of integrations and business services.
- Provide architectural guidance for test automation frameworks using Selenium and modern automation practices.
- Collaborate with Business, Product, Development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.




- Establish production validation, defect prevention, and quality monitoring practices.
- Mentor QA teams and drive adoption of best practices, reusable assets, and quality metrics.
- Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and emerging Quality Engineering solutions.

Required Skills

Mandatory

- 14+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing.
- Strong expertise in Functional Testing and Test Strategy.
- Extensive experience in Test Architecture and Quality Governance.
- Hands-on experience in API Testing (REST/SOAP, Postman, Swagger, etc.).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Quality Engineering practices.
- Working knowledge of Selenium with Java or Playwright and automation framework concepts.
- Strong SQL and data validation skills.
- Experience with defect management, production validation, and release assurance.
- Experience in Accessibility and Security testing.
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred

- Experience with Appium and mobile testing.
- Experience in Security and Accessibility Testing
- Experience in AI-assisted QA capabilities like MS Copilot, Claude, Cursor AI
- Exposure to UiPath/RPA testing.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Knowledge of performance testing and cloud-based testing solutions.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are preferred.
