About Genoll

Genoll (GenoLogix Labs Ltd.) is an innovative scientific start-up headquartered in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, operating at the frontier of precision medicine. We develop powerful machine learning methods and tools for early, accurate cancer diagnostics — with a mission as simple as it is profound: to save human lives through technology.

Our close-knit, multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in artificial intelligence, computational biology, genomics, and clinical research. We move fast, think deeply, and care about the quality of our science. If you want your work to have a direct, measurable impact on human health, this is the place to build your career.

The Role:

We are looking for a skilled Python Developer / Machine Learning Engineer to join our core team in Coimbatore. You will take ownership of building and refining ML-driven pipelines that analyse complex genomic and clinical datasets — extracting the insights that power the next generation of cancer diagnostics.

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with data scientists, software engineers, and clinical researchers, translating cutting-edge research into production-grade tools. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who loves both the science and the engineering behind it.

What You'll Do:

▸ Design and build end-to-end ML pipelines to process and analyze large-scale genomic and clinical datasets.

▸ Develop and tune statistical models and machine learning algorithms for classification, feature selection, and predictive analytics.

▸ Partner with clinicians, biologists,

and domain researchers to validate model outputs and integrate findings into real-world diagnostic tools.

▸ Optimize and automate computational workflows to ensure efficient, reproducible, and scalable data processing.

▸ Harness cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data technologies to build robust analytical infrastructure.

▸ Contribute to peer-reviewed research publications, patent filings, and scientific conference presentations.

▸ Track the latest developments in AI, machine learning, genomics, and biomedical data science — and bring relevant advances into our work.

What We're Looking For:

▸ Strong, production-level Python proficiency for data analysis, modelling, and ML engineering.

▸ Hands-on experience with core data libraries: NumPy, Pandas, and visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly).

▸ Solid working knowledge of ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or Scikit-learn.

▸ Strong grounding in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and probabilistic modelling.

▸ Proven experience handling large-scale, high-dimensional datasets and computational pipelines.

▸ Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) — experience deploying ML workloads is a plus.

▸ A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Tools You'll Work With:

- Python
- TensorFlow

- PyTorch
- Scikit-learn
- NumPy / Pandas
- AWS / GCP
- Matplotlib
- Seaborn
- SQL
- Git / CI-CD

Nice to Have ▸ Experience with SQL databases for querying and managing large, structured datasets in a research or production setting.

▸ Background in healthcare analytics, bioinformatics, genomics, or computational biology.

▸ Experience leading small research or engineering sub-teams and mentoring junior colleagues.

▸ Familiarity with version control (Git), containerization (Docker), or MLOps practices.

▸ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Computational Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

▸ A strong portfolio of applied ML projects, open-source contributions, or published research is highly valued — we look at what you've built, not just where you studied.

Education:

▸ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Computational Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.

▸ A strong portfolio of applied ML projects, open-source contributions, or published research is highly valued. We look at what you've built, not just where you studied.

What You'll Gain:

1. Hands-On Science - Real pipelines on real cancer data from day one.
2. Expert Mentorship - Guided by senior scientists and ML engineers.
3. Research Credit - Chance to co-author publications
4. Fast-Track Growth - Competitive salary with a clear path to senior roles.
