Job Summary The Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, consumables, machinery, spare parts, packaging materials, and services required for the smooth operation of the composite panel manufacturing plant. The role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, quality compliance, and effective supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Source raw materials such as aluminum coils, polyethylene cores, chemicals, adhesives, packaging materials, and other production inputs.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Request quotations, compare offers, and negotiate the best commercial terms.

Vendor Management
- Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, cost, service, and delivery.
- Develop alternative vendor sources to reduce procurement risks.

Inventory & Material Planning
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and planning teams to forecast material requirements.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials for production.
- Monitor inventory levels and avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.

Cost Control
- Achieve annual procurement savings targets.
- Analyze market trends, pricing,



and supply conditions.
- Recommend cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.

Contract & Documentation
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain procurement records and vendor databases.

Coordination & Compliance
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Finance, Stores, and Logistics departments.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor compliance with legal, environmental, and safety regulations.

Reporting
- Generate procurement reports, vendor performance reports, and cost analysis reports.
- Present procurement KPIs to management.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/Specialization in Supply Chain Management preferred.

Experience
- 8-15 years of procurement experience in manufacturing industries.
- Experience in ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel), building materials, metals, laminates, chemical, or related industries preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years in a managerial role.
