Position: Purchase Executive

Department: Purchase / Procurement

Industry: Chemical Manufacturing

Job Responsibilities

- Purchase of chemical raw materials, solvents, packing materials and other plant requirements.
- Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors.
- Float enquiries, collect quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure timely material delivery.
- Follow up with suppliers and transporters for pending orders.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Accounts and other departments.
- Maintain proper purchase records, vendor documents and MIS reports.
- Monitor stock requirements and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
- Handle vendor complaints, quality issues and delivery-related problems.




- Develop alternate suppliers for critical raw materials.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP will be preferred.

Qualification
- Graduate in B.Com / B.Sc. / BBA / Supply Chain / Material Management or relevant qualification.
- Candidates with experience in Chemical Manufacturing / Chemical Industry will be preferred.

Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Positive knowledge of chemical raw materials and procurement process.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
