Job Summary

Summary: A sharp, detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support the finance team with daily accounting operations. An entry-to-mid level role with significant day-to-day responsibility - processing transactions, supporting compliance and keeping records clean. Working knowledge of Zoho Books and Tally ERP is mandatory from Day 1.

Roles and Responsibilities :
- Enter day-to-day accounting transactions accurately in Zoho Books and Tally ERP - purchase entries, sales entries, receipts and payments
- Process vendor invoices and sub-contractor bills - verify against purchase orders, raise payment vouchers
- Maintain petty cash register - daily entries, vouchers and monthly reconciliation
- Support GST data preparation - collating purchase invoices, sales data and input tax credit workings
- Assist with TDS deduction tracking and quarterly TDS return preparation
- Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS) for all company accounts
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain the accounts receivable tracker
- File and maintain accounting records - physical vouchers,



invoices and digital records
- Support the Senior Accountant in audit preparation - pulling records, preparing schedules
- Assist with payroll support - salary register entries, statutory deduction tracking (PF, ESI)
- Comply with Arial Engineerings Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Complete any other associated task requested by the management.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications :
- 1-3 years of accounting or finance support experience
- Mandatory: working knowledge of Zoho Books and Tally ERP - must be able to use independently from Day 1
- Basic understanding of GST - purchase and sales entries, invoice matching
- Valuable MS Excel skills - data entry, basic formulas, reconciliation sheets
- B.Com or equivalent graduate degree in Commerce or Accounting
- High accuracy and attention to detail
