Alliance University invites applications from experienced industry professionals and accomplished academicians for the positions of Professor of Practice, Adjunct Faculty, and Visiting Faculty to teach and mentor students in the areas of Java Programming, Full Stack Development, and Data Structures & Algorithms .

The ideal candidate will bring strong practical expertise, teaching/mentoring capability, and the ability to connect academic concepts with real-world industry applications.

Candidates may be considered for one or more of the following areas:

- Java Programming and Advanced Java
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Data Structures and Algorithms
- Full Stack Web Development
- Front-End Development – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular
- Back-End Development – Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs
- Database Management and SQL
- Software Development and Application Design
- Programming Practices, Version Control and Software Engineering
- Industry-oriented projects, case studies and practical assignments

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and industry-relevant lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and workshops.
- Develop and deliver course content aligned with programme learning outcomes.
- Incorporate practical coding exercises, live projects, case studies and real-world applications into teaching.
- Mentor students on programming, software development and industry projects.
- Conduct assessments, evaluate assignments/projects and provide constructive feedback.
- Guide students in developing problem-solving and coding skills.
- Support capstone projects, internships and industry-oriented academic initiatives.
- Collaborate with full-time faculty members in curriculum enhancement and course delivery.
- Contribute to seminars, workshops, hackathons, boot camps and other academic/industry engagement activities.
- Bring current industry practices, tools,



technologies and emerging trends into the classroom.

Desired Qualifications & Experience For Professor of Practice

- 15+ years of professional experience in software development, technology, IT or related domains.
- Strong industry expertise in Java, Full Stack Development, Data Structures & Algorithms or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technology projects, teams or technical initiatives.
- Prior experience in teaching, corporate training, mentoring or academic engagement will be preferred.
- Candidates with substantial industry experience and strong professional achievements may be considered.

For Adjunct / Visiting Faculty

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. will be preferred for appropriate academic roles.
- Relevant academic or industry experience in the respective teaching area.
- Solid programming and technical skills with the ability to explain concepts effectively.
- Prior teaching, training or mentoring experience will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies
