We are on the lookout for a Product Engineering Manager – Insurance with the following experience and capabilities.
Position :- Lead Product Manager – Next-Generation AI-Native Core Insurance Platform
Experience: 10–15 years, including a minimum of 5 years in core insurance platform engineering or product management
Location: India / Hybrid or Remote
Target Market:- North America – United States and Canada
Domain:- Property and Casualty Insurance, with strong exposure to the North American insurance market, ERC, ACORD, and IAA
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lead Product Manager – Offshore, you will own the product strategy, roadmap execution, and functional architecture of our core policy engine.
You will combine advanced technologies—including agentic workflows,
GenAI-driven underwriting, dynamic rating, and modular policy lifecycle automation—with deep insurance core capabilities.
Working closely with onshore executive product leadership, client architecture teams, and a high-performing offshore engineering team, you will define how insurance policies are configured, underwritten, issued, and serviced in the AI era.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Vision and Roadmap Execution
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for the AI-native Policy Administration module, including product definition, rating, quoting, underwriting rules, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and billing integrations.
- Translate complex North American insurance workflows, statutory requirements, and carrier operating models into up-to-date, scalable product capabilities.
- Champion the integration of AI, machine learning, GenAI, and agentic AI across core workflows.
- Enable capabilities such as zero-touch straight-through processing, intelligent risk assessment, conversational policy servicing, and automated ingestion of unstructured submissions.
Core Platform and Engineering Collaboration
- Serve as the primary product representative within engineering sprints, collaborating daily with offshore technical architects, engineering leads, and data scientists.
- Define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, domain models, state machines, and API-first interaction patterns for headless core insurance operations.
- Drive platform modularity, low-code and no-code line-of-business configuration, and microservices-based scalability.
Stakeholder and North American Market Alignment
- Partner with onshore Product Management, Solution Consulting, client architecture teams, and customer advisory councils to validate features against North American market requirements.
- Ensure alignment with ACORD standards, ISO and AAIS guidelines, and state-specific compliance requirements.
- Manage product backlogs, sprint priorities, and release trade-offs to deliver continuous business value with predictable velocity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10–15 years of experience in enterprise software product management or business architecture.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience as a Product Manager or Business Architect within a core product engineering or software product company.
- Experience building or managing platforms such as Guidewire PolicyCenter, Duck Creek Policy, Majesco, Socotra, OneShield, EIS, or comparable modern InsurTech core systems.
- Strong functional expertise in the North American insurance lifecycle across Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, or Specialty Insurance.
- Deep understanding of policy lifecycle management, rating engines, dynamic rule configuration, and policy forms.
- Practical understanding of how AI, GenAI, and agentic automation integrate with enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with API-first architecture, event-driven design, retrieval-augmented generation workflows, and automated decision-making.
- Proven success managing Agile or Scrum product backlogs for globally distributed teams.
