ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to build, maintain and deploy production-grade web and mobile applications for real-world business and client environments.

You will work closely with the technical leadership to take applications from development and proof-of-concept stages through testing, deployment and production .

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full technology stack rather than being restricted to frontend or backend development.

You will have ownership across:

Development → APIs → Database → Testing → Security → Deployment → Monitoring → Maintenance The role requires someone who can take ownership of technical problems, make practical engineering decisions and deliver reliable production-ready software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFull Stack Development

- Build and maintain full-stack web applications.
- Develop frontend interfaces and backend services.
- Build responsive and user-friendly web applications.
- Develop and maintain APIs and integrations.
- Work with databases, authentication and application logic.
- Debug issues across frontend, backend, APIs and databases.
- Improve application performance, reliability and maintainability.

Backend & APIs
- Design and develop REST APIs.
- Build backend services and business logic.
- Integrate applications with external APIs and enterprise systems.
- Implement authentication and authorization.
- Handle application configuration and environment management.
- Develop secure and maintainable backend architectures.

Frontend Development
- Develop modern web interfaces using frameworks such as React .
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Build reusable and maintainable components.
- Ensure responsive behaviour across devices.
- Identify and resolve frontend performance and usability issues.

Mobile Development
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart , where required.
- Support Android and iOS application development.
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and external services.
- Debug and maintain existing mobile applications.

Database & Data Management
- Work with SQL databases.
- Design and maintain database schemas.
- Develop effective queries.
- Understand data modelling and relationships.
- Maintain data integrity and application performance.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues.

Testing & Quality Assurance
- Write and maintain unit, integration and API tests .
- Test applications thoroughly before production deployment.
- Identify edge cases and potential failure points.




- Reproduce and troubleshoot bugs across the technology stack.
- Perform regression testing when implementing changes.
- Maintain appropriate test coverage.
- Work with testing tools such as:
- Pytest
- Jest
- Playwright
- Cypress
- or similar frameworks
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows where applicable.

Deployment & DevOps
- Containerize applications using Docker .
- Deploy and manage applications in cloud and client environments.
- Configure production environments.
- Work with deployment and release workflows.
- Set up logging and error handling.
- Implement monitoring and application health checks.
- Troubleshoot production deployment issues.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Security & Production Readiness
- Implement secure authentication and authorization.
- Manage environment variables and application secrets appropriately.
- Follow secure development practices.
- Consider scalability, reliability and maintainability when designing systems.
- Identify potential security and performance issues before production.
- Ensure applications are properly tested before deployment.

Architecture & Technical Ownership
- Participate in architecture and technology decisions.
- Help convert proof-of-concept applications into production-ready systems.
- Evaluate technical approaches and recommend practical solutions.
- Identify technical risks and propose solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned applications and features.
- Document important technical decisions and processes where required.

Client & Enterprise Environments
- Deploy applications in client environments when required.
- Work with external systems and enterprise software.
- Troubleshoot integration and deployment issues.
- Adapt applications to different client infrastructure and requirements.
- Participate in technical discussions related to client projects where required.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCEProgramming Strong experience with one or more of:
- Python
- JavaScript / TypeScript

Frontend
- Experience with React or another modern frontend framework.
- Strong understanding of frontend development fundamentals.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.

Backend Experience with one or more of:
- FastAPI
- Django
- Node.js
- Express
- Similar backend frameworks

Database
- Strong understanding of SQL databases.
- Experience with database design and data modelling.
- Ability to write and optimise SQL queries.

Development & Deployment Hands-on experience with:
- Git
- Docker
- REST APIs
- Application deployment
- Environment configuration
- Cloud or server-based deployments

Testing
- Experience writing automated tests.
- Understanding of unit, integration and API testing.
- Experience with tools such as Pytest, Jest, Playwright, Cypress or similar .
- Ability to debug issues across the full stack.

Security

Good understanding of

- Environment configuration




- Secrets management
- Secure application deployment

CLOUD & INFRASTRUCTURE Experience with one or more of:
- AWS

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Relevant professional experience in full-stack development is strongly preferred.
- A strong portfolio of applications or relevant GitHub/project work is an advantage.
