Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Physics Teacher for Grades 8–10 to join our managed school, The Summit, in Chikmagalur. The ideal candidate will bring subject expertise, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to nurturing curiosity and conceptual understanding among students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the curriculum for Grades 8–10
- Simplify complex scientific concepts using practical examples, experiments, and demonstrations
- Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive feedback
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to improve learning outcomes
- Participate in school events, training sessions, and continuous professional development
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physics or related field (B.Ed. preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (middle/high school preferred)
- Strong subject knowledge and communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools and experiential learning methods
- Passion for education and student development
