We’re looking for an experienced People & Talent Lead who can help us build the organization, leadership team, culture, and talent engine required for our next phase of growth.

About the Role

This isn’t a traditional HR role.

You’ll work closely with the promoter and leadership team to build a high-performance organization from the ground up.

Your role will span talent acquisition, organizational development, people strategy, culture, leadership hiring, employee engagement, and building the systems required to support a rapidly growing business.

You will be responsible for attracting exceptional talent across the organization while creating an environment where ambitious people can grow, take ownership, and build their careers with Jagdish Farshan.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, solving organizational challenges, and working directly with founders and senior leadership.

What You’ll Do

Talent & Leadership Hiring

- Own the overall talent acquisition strategy for the organization.
- Lead hiring across corporate, retail, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, technology, marketing, operations, and other functions.
- Personally drive critical and senior leadership hiring.
- Build strong talent pipelines across Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and other key talent markets.
- Develop relationships with senior talent, executive search firms, industry networks, and recruitment partners.
- Build innovative sourcing strategies beyond traditional recruitment channels.
- Establish structured interview, assessment, selection, offer, and onboarding processes.




- Build a strong employer brand for Jagdish Farshan.

Organization Building

- Work directly with the promoter and leadership team on organizational design and workforce planning.
- Identify talent gaps and build teams ahead of business requirements.
- Help define organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines.
- Develop systems and processes that allow the organization to scale effectively.
- Build recruitment dashboards and track hiring performance, quality, timelines, and cost.
- Develop succession and talent pipelines for critical roles.

People & Culture
- Build a high-performance, ownership-driven culture across the organization.
- Strengthen employee engagement, communication, and retention.
- Develop initiatives that improve employee experience across corporate, retail, manufacturing, and other teams.
- Partner with managers and department heads on people and performance-related initiatives.
- Build leadership development and employee growth frameworks.
- Create a culture where high performers are recognized, developed, and retained.
- Help institutionalize the values and entrepreneurial spirit of Jagdish Farshan as the organization scales.

Leadership Partnership

- Act as a strategic people partner to the promoter and senior leadership team.
- Work closely with department heads to understand current and future talent requirements.
- Participate in leadership discussions around organization building and capability development.
- Challenge existing approaches and bring modern people practices into the organization.
- Support leadership in managing key people decisions and organizational challenges.
- Travel to other locations whenever required for hiring, onboarding, planning, and team development.

Who We’re Looking For

- 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, People Operations, or Organizational Development.
- Proven experience in building and scaling teams in a growing organization.
- Strong experience in senior and leadership hiring.
- Experience working directly with founders, promoters, CEOs, or senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of up-to-date talent acquisition and people practices.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong business understanding and the ability to connect people strategy with business objectives.
- Highly entrepreneurial, proactive, and hands-on.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently.
- Comfortable building systems and processes from scratch.
- Ability to work across corporate, retail, manufacturing, and frontline teams.
- Willing to work from our Vadodara Head Office.

Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in FMCG, food, D2C, retail, consumer brands, or manufacturing.
- Experience scaling a promoter-led or family-owned business.
- Experience building an HR or talent function from the ground up.
- Strong talent network across Gujarat and major Indian cities.
- Experience with organizational transformation or professionalization of a growing business.
- Experience building leadership teams and succession pipelines.
- Exposure to international or multi-location businesses.
