Role & responsibilities

A. Product Development & Innovation

- Develop new products and improve existing products as per business requirements.
- Conduct laboratory and plant trials for new products and formulations.
- Support development of products for QSR, Retail, Frozen, Convenience and other categories.
- Study market and competitor products and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support preparation and execution of the R&D; innovation pipeline.

B. Product & Process Trials
- Plan and conduct product trials as per approved requirements.
- Record trial results, observations and recommendations.
- Support process optimization for quality, yield, cost and scalability.
- Coordinate with Production during pilot and commercial trials.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during product development.

C. Commercialization Support
- Support product development from concept to commercial launch.
- Prepare product specifications, formulations, trial reports and other required documents.
- Coordinate with QA, Production, Procurement and Commercial teams for launch readiness.
- Support shelf-life and product stability studies.
- Ensure products meet defined quality and technical requirements.

D. Market & Customer Support
- Support customer-specific product development and modification projects.




- Conduct product benchmarking and competitor analysis.
- Collect market and consumer insights relevant to current product development.
- Support preparation of samples and presentations for customer trials.

E. Cost & Process Improvement
- Support cost optimization through formulation and process improvement.
- Identify opportunities for reducing raw material, processing and packaging costs.
- Coordinate with Procurement for ingredient and raw material evaluation.
- Monitor product yield and process efficiency during trials.

F. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain R&D; records, formulations, trial reports and product specifications.
- Ensure development activities comply with food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with QA for required testing and validation.
- Maintain proper records for approved and ongoing development projects.

G. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with R&D;, QA, Production, Procurement, Engineering and Commercial teams.
- Follow up on development projects and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide technical updates.
- Support the R&D; Head/Manager in innovation and product development initiatives.
