Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior DevNet Engineer (Vendor Resource) to lead the design, development, and delivery of network automation and application platforms within a large-scale enterprise setting. This role requires strong ownership, accountability, and delivery focus, working closely with Morgan Stanley teams to transform network operations through automation, software engineering, and platform integration. The engineer will contribute to building scalable, resilient, and production-grade automation solutions aligned with enterprise standards and delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation Engineering & Delivery

- Design and implement network automation solutions for:

- Configuration management

- Provisioning workflows
- Monitoring, validation, and reporting
- Develop automation scripts, tools, and reusable frameworks using Python and Ansible
- Deliver automation across the full lifecycle:

- Build Test Release Operate
- Ensure high-quality, production-ready deliverables aligned to milestone commitments

2. Platform Development & Integration

- Build and enhance applications and tools supporting:
- Network visibility and operational analytics
- Workflow orchestration and automation pipelines
- Integrate automation solutions with enterprise systems:

- Monitoring platforms

- Ticketing systems

- CMDB / inventory systems
- Ensure seamless interoperability with existing infrastructure

3. Testing, Validation & Reliability

- Implement automated validation frameworks for network changes and configurations
- Perform testing to ensure reliability, stability, and performance of automation solutions
- Support introduction of CI/CD pipelines for network and automation changes
- Enhance observability through telemetry, reporting,



and dashboards

4. Scale & Standardization

- Expand automation coverage across:
- Data center, WAN, and enterprise network environments
- Multi-vendor infrastructure
- Standardize reusable automation modules, frameworks, and coding practices
- Support scaling of solutions across global environments

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

- Work closely with network engineering, platform, and operations teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and solution validation
- Provide clear documentation, diagrams, and knowledge transfer to internal teams
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security, and compliance requirements

6. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
- Proactively enhance automation frameworks and platform capabilities
- Stay aligned with evolving industry best practices in network automation and DevOps

Required Skills & Experience

- 710 years of experience in network automation and application development
- Strong hands-on expertise in:

- Python
- Ansible or similar automation frameworks
- API-based integrations

- Solid understanding of
- Enterprise network environments (DC, WAN, multi-vendor)
- Configuration management and operational workflows

- Experience with
- Automation validation, monitoring, and performance tracking
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have

- Experience in financial services or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to observability platforms and automation analytics
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and platform engineering concepts
