Merchandising Head Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead the entire merchandising team and manage buyer accounts.

- Handle buyer communication, order booking, negotiation, and follow-ups.

- Plan and monitor TNA, sampling, costing, production, and shipment timelines.

- Review and approve costing, consumption, CM, trims, and fabric requirements.

- Negotiate with buyers and suppliers to achieve target price and profitability.

- Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Fabric, Accessories, Production, Quality, and PPC teams.

- Ensure on-time sample submission and approvals.

- Monitor order status, production progress, and shipment schedules.

- Handle buyer comments, technical issues, and approvals.

- Ensure orders are executed as per buyer specifications, quality standards, and delivery commitments.





- Identify risks related to cost, quality, capacity, and delivery and take corrective action.

- Prepare and review MIS, order status, costing, and business reports for management.

- Develop and maintain solid relationships with domestic and international buyers.

- Guide merchandisers on product knowledge, costing, negotiation, communication, and execution.

- Support management in business development, new buyer acquisition, and order planning.

- Ensure maximum profitability and smooth execution of all orders. Role & responsibilities
