ExpoBazaar India is a curated e-commerce marketplace bringing India's home, lifestyle, décor, textile, and gifting products to domestic customers — sourced directly from manufacturers, artisans, and regional vendor clusters across the country.

We're hiring a Merchandiser – Sourcing & Vendor Development for our India B2C vertical. This role is built for someone who already has a working vendor network in Indian manufacturing hubs — Panipat, Bikaner, Moradabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, and similar clusters — and knows how to turn that network into a fast-moving, well-priced product assortment for online and retail channels.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Domestic Vendor Sourcing

– Identify and onboard vendors, manufacturers, and artisan clusters across key Indian production hubs for home, décor, textile, and gifting categories.

– Bring an existing vendor network to the table — this role is weighted toward candidates who can activate relationships from day one, not build them from scratch.

– Evaluate vendors on product quality, pricing, MOQ, production capacity, and reliability of supply.

– Negotiate pricing, margins, MOQ, and payment terms directly with vendors.

– Build and maintain a live pipeline of vendor and product opportunities mapped to assortment gaps.

E-commerce Merchandising

– Curate assortment based on customer demand, category performance, pricing bands, and seasonal trends.

– Identify white space in category depth and breadth, and source against it.

– Plan product selection for festivals, seasonal campaigns, and key marketplace moments (e.g. Diwali, wedding season, monsoon home refresh).

– Ensure the assortment is priced and positioned correctly for the India B2C customer.

Vendor & Product Onboarding

– Run onboarding end-to-end — from first vendor conversation to the product going live on site.

– Collect and validate product data:



images, pricing, dimensions, specifications, and inventory.

– Close data and compliance gaps with vendors before listing, and hold products to ExpoBazaar's quality bar.

Cataloguing & Listing

– Own product cataloguing and listing on expobazaar.com and other domestic marketplaces.

– Maintain accurate titles, descriptions, attributes, SKUs, pricing, and category mapping.

– Run catalogue sanity checks before go-live and maintain ongoing catalogue hygiene.

– Support bulk uploads and SKU creation on Shopify or equivalent platforms.

Cross-functional Coordination

– Work closely with sourcing, operations, content, design, and customer support to launch products on time.

– Maintain vendor, sourcing, and catalogue trackers, and report on pipeline and onboarding progress.

WHAT YOU BRING

– 2–4 years in e-commerce merchandising, product sourcing, or vendor management, ideally for a domestic B2C or retail business.

– An active, usable vendor network in Indian home, lifestyle, décor, textile, or gifting manufacturing — this is the single most important qualifier for this role.

– Sound judgment on pricing, margins, and category trends in the Indian market.

– Hands-on experience with vendor negotiation, onboarding, and commercial discussions.

– Comfort with cataloguing, SKU management, and marketplace/CMS operations (Shopify experience is a strong plus).

– Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and the discipline to keep trackers current.

– The ability to run multiple vendors and product lines at once without dropping the details.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Someone commercially sharp, organised, and genuinely interested in product — who can answer three questions for ExpoBazaar: what should we sell, who do we source it from, and how do we get it in front of the domestic customer at the right price. If you already know the vendors, this role moves quick.
