Role & responsibilities

- Manage the complete merchandising cycle from order confirmation to final dispatch.

- Coordinate with buyers regarding orders, product specifications, samples, approvals, pricing, quantities and delivery schedules.

- Prepare and monitor Order Sheets, T&A; Calendars, Production Plans and Delivery Schedules.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Planning and Dispatch departments for smooth order execution.

- Ensure timely availability of yarn, accessories, packing materials and other raw materials as per order requirements.

- Monitor daily production progress against planned quantities and committed delivery dates.

- Follow up on raw material availability, production status and order completion.

- Coordinate for sample development, sample approvals, artwork, specifications and buyer requirements.

- Monitor order status and identify potential delays, shortages and production bottlenecks.

- Handle buyer queries, complaints and order-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

- Coordinate with the costing team for product costing, quotations and price negotiations.

- Ensure products are manufactured according to buyer specifications, approved samples and required quality standards.

- Maintain proper records of orders, buyer approvals, production status, delivery schedules and communications.

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly merchandising reports for management.





- Track shipment and dispatch schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

- Maintain strong professional relationships with existing buyers and support the development of new buyer relationships.

- Coordinate with buyers regarding product development, new orders and changes in specifications.

- Lead, train and supervise the merchandising team and allocate responsibilities effectively.

- Monitor the performance of merchandisers and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

- Coordinate with management to resolve critical order, production and buyer-related issues.

- Ensure effective communication and coordination between buyers and internal departments.

- Monitor order profitability, wastage, production efficiency and delivery performance.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, merchandising procedures and buyer requirements.

- Drive continuous improvement in merchandising processes to improve productivity, efficiency, buyer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Preferred candidate profile

- Strong knowledge of textile/garment/socks manufacturing merchandising.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Robust coordination and follow-up abilities.

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.

- Ability to manage multiple orders and meet strict deadlines.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Good understanding of production planning, costing, quality, and supply chain processes.
