Role Description The Member role at FilmSociety is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai, focused on active participation in the society’s activities and events. Day-to-day responsibilities include attending screenings, contributing to post-screening discussions, and assisting in organizing film-related events, workshops, and festivals.

Members may help with program planning, event logistics, audience engagement, and promoting activities within local communities and educational institutions.



The role also involves collaborating with other members to suggest films, develop themes for events, and support outreach initiatives that expand the society’s reach. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to cinema, enjoy collaborative work, and are motivated to strengthen a dynamic cultural community.

Qualifications

- Strong interest in film, cinema history, and contemporary filmmaking, with enthusiasm for engaging in discussions and events.
