Key Responsibilities

- Conduct consultations, clinical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

- Provide comprehensive gynaecological healthcare services.

- Assess and manage common gynaecological conditions, menstrual disorders, infections, hormonal issues, and reproductive health concerns.

- Counsel patients regarding reproductive, menstrual, sexual, and women's health.

- Provide preventive healthcare and routine women's health check-ups.

- Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.

- Interpret routine investigation reports and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

- Identify cases requiring specialist, surgical, or hospital intervention and arrange appropriate referrals.

- Provide first aid and manage medical emergencies within the scope of practice.

- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.

- Ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care.

- Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, and other healthcare personnel.

- Conduct women's health awareness programmes, health camps, and preventive healthcare initiatives.

- Promote menstrual health, reproductive health, hygiene, and wellness awareness among eligible students and staff.

- Maintain professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and institutional healthcare standards.





- Ensure appropriate maintenance of medicines, medical supplies, and basic emergency equipment.

- Perform other duties related to healthcare services as assigned by the competent authority.

Educational Qualification

- MBBS from a recognised medical institution/university.

- MD/MS/DNB in Gynaecology from a recognised institution.

- Valid registration with the appropriate State Medical Council/National Medical Commission, as applicable.
