Medical Information & Pharmacovigilance Associate
Experience Required: 6 Months – 1.5 Years in Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety
Location: Begumpet, Hyderabad — 100% Work from Office
Shift: Fixed Night Shift — EST Time Zone
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, early-career Pharmacovigilance professionals to join our expanding Medical Information Contact Center (MICC) at TheragenX. If you have a foundational understanding of drug safety and want to accelerate your career by interacting directly with US-based healthcare professionals and patients, this is the perfect opportunity.
Working exclusively in the EST time zone, you will act as the critical first line of defense in drug safety, handling medical inquiries, identifying adverse events, and ensuring global regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-Line Intake & Triage: Receive, review, and accurately document incoming medical inquiries, Adverse Events (AEs), and Product Quality Complaints (PQCs) from US patients and healthcare professionals via phone, email, or digital platforms.
- Safety Documentation: Ensure precise data entry into safety databases and accurately capture the four minimum criteria for valid safety reporting.
- Medical Communication: Provide scientifically accurate, non-promotional responses to standard medical inquiries using approved client FAQs and product labelling.
- Global Compliance: Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs),
ICH-GCP guidelines, HIPAA data privacy regulations, and specific client SLAs.
- Cross-Functional Escalation: Route complex medical inquiries and high-priority safety cases to respective Tier-2 medical affairs or quality teams within mandated timelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm), Pharm.D, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Experience: 6 months to 1.5 years of hands-on experience in Pharmacovigilance, case processing, safety triage, or clinical data management.
- Willingness for MICC: Must be highly willing to work in a contact center workplace, handling inbound/outbound calls and emails from a global demographic.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of MedDRA coding, ICSR workflows, and global PV regulations (FDA).
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory, along with strong active listening and empathy skills for patient interactions.
