Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and academically oriented Pre-Production Faculty – Drawing & Storyboarding to train undergraduate students in visual storytelling, drawing fundamentals, storyboarding, and pre-production planning for film, animation, advertising, and digital media.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Drawing, Visualisation, Storyboarding and Pre-Production concepts to UG students.
- Develop students’ skills in sketching, visual composition, perspective, character poses and visual storytelling.
- Train students to translate scripts and concepts into effective storyboards and visual sequences.
- Teach shot division, camera angles, framing, camera movements, continuity and scene transitions.
- Guide students in creating storyboards, shot breakdowns, mood boards and visual references.
- Conduct practical assignments, studio exercises and project-based learning.
- Mentor students in developing pre-production portfolios and short-film projects.
- Introduce students to relevant digital drawing and storyboarding tools/software.
- Collaborate with Film, Photography, Videography, Screenwriting and Production faculty for integrated projects.




- Keep students updated with current industry practices and professional workflows.
- Participate in academic activities, curriculum development, assessments, exhibitions, workshops and masterclasses.

Educational Qualification
- Master’s Degree / PG qualification in Film Studies, Animation, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Media Production, Communication & Journalism or a related discipline from a UGC-recognised university/institution.
- Candidates with strong professional experience in film/animation pre-production and relevant qualifications may also be considered.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong practical knowledge of drawing and visual storytelling.
- Good understanding of storyboarding and film pre-production workflows.
- Knowledge of cinematography fundamentals, shot composition and visual language.
- Proficiency in traditional and/or digital drawing.
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Storyboard Pro, Procreate or equivalent software is desirable.
- Solid communication, presentation and student-mentoring skills.
- Teaching experience or relevant industry experience in film, animation, advertising or media production will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹9,819.65 - ₹35,000.00 per month
