Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer Intern / Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. The candidate will be involved in mechanical design, preparation and modification of engineering drawings, CAD modelling, documentation, and supporting mechanical activities at project/site locations. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD and Creo/CAD tools, and the ability to understand and prepare mechanical drawings.

The candidate should also be willing to visit project/client sites when required and support basic site-related mechanical work.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, and other mechanical systems.

- Create, modify, and maintain 2D mechanical drawings and 3D CAD models.

- Prepare detailed engineering drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, views, sections, and annotations.

- Work on mechanical drawings related to fabrication, machining, sheet metal, assemblies, and industrial equipment.

- Develop and update AutoCAD and Creo/CAD drawings based on design requirements.

- Review drawings and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design requirements.

- Assist senior engineers in design modifications, product development, and engineering documentation.

- Support preparation of BOM, part drawings, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation.

- Coordinate with engineering, production, hardware, and project teams for design-related requirements.

- Understand basic manufacturing and fabrication processes and incorporate practical design considerations into drawings.

- Assist with measurements, inspections, installation support, and basic mechanical activities during project/site visits.





- Visit client/project sites when required to understand site conditions, take measurements, verify installations, and support the engineering team.

- Identify basic design or installation issues at site and report them to the concerned senior engineer.

- Follow engineering standards, safety procedures, and company design practices.

- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, revisions, measurements, and project-related design information.

Requirements

- Good knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D mechanical drawings.

- Knowledge of Creo and/or other CAD software for 3D modelling and mechanical design.

- Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering Drawing concepts.

- Ability to read, understand, and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.

- Basic knowledge of GDT, dimensions, tolerances, fits, and engineering symbols.

- Basic understanding of mechanical components, assemblies, fasteners, and fabrication methods.

- Basic knowledge of sheet metal design, machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes is preferred.

- Ability to create and modify mechanical drawings based on engineering requirements.

- Valuable understanding of basic mechanical design principles and product development processes.

- Willingness to travel to client/project sites as required.

- Basic understanding of site measurements, installation, fabrication, and mechanical assembly activities.

- Ability to understand site requirements and communicate technical observations to the engineering team.

- Willingness to work hands-on and learn practical aspects of mechanical design and installation.

- Candidates should be comfortable working both in the design office and at project/site locations when required.
