Key responsibilities

•

Lead end-to-end delivery of MDM initiatives, owning sprint planning, backlog grooming, and hands-on configuration of the MDM platform across assigned data domains.

•

Manage and mentor a team of MDM engineers, data stewards, and analysts — setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and building capability within the team.

•

Oversee the daily operation of MDM platform workflows including match-merge rules, survivorship logic, hierarchy management, and golden record publication to downstream systems.

•

Collaborate with data architects and solution architects to design and implement data models, entity relationships, and integration patterns that support MDM objectives.

•

Partner with data stewards and business domain owners to define and enforce data quality rules, resolve duplicate and conflict issues, and maintain stewardship workflows.

•

Manage integrations between the MDM hub and source/consuming systems (ERP, CRM, eCommerce, analytics platforms, Salesforce), ensuring timely and accurate data synchronization.

•

Monitor MDM platform health, data quality KPIs, and SLAs — proactively identifying degradation, driving root-cause analysis, and implementing remediation plans.

•

Support data governance initiatives by contributing to policy definition, business glossary enrichment, and participation in data stewardship councils.

•

Work with vendors and third-party implementation partners, managing deliverables, reviewing outputs, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

Required

•

7+ years in data management or data engineering,



with at least 3 years in a handson MDM delivery or operations role.

•

Proven experience configuring and operating at least one enterprise MDM platform (Informatica MDM, Reltio, Stibo STEP, SAP MDG, Semarchy, or equivalent).

•

Strong understanding of MDM concepts: match-merge, survivorship, golden record, hierarchy management, and entity resolution.

•

Experience managing integrations between MDM hubs and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM) using REST APIs, event-driven patterns, or ETL/ELT pipelines.

•

Solid data modeling skills, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models for master data domains.

•

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small to mid-sized team in a delivery focused environment

Preferred

•

Certification on a major MDM platform (e.g., Informatica MDM Certified Specialist, Reltio Certified Skilled).

•

Familiarity with data governance frameworks (DAMA/DMBOK) and experience contributing to stewardship programs.

•

Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with modern data stack tooling.

•

Exposure to data quality monitoring tools (Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, Soda) integrated with MDM workflows.

•

Background in regulated industries (pharma, financial services, retail, manufacturing) with complex master data landscapes.

•

Experience with agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
