About the Role

We are looking for a Marathi Modi Lipi Translator / Language Expert to support our document digitization and AI-based script conversion project.

The selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing Marathi documents written in Modi Lipi, verifying the software-generated conversion into modern Hindi/Marathi/Devanagari, and correcting translation or transcription errors to ensure high accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify software-generated conversion of Marathi Modi Lipi manuscripts/documents into Marathi/Devanagari.
- Compare the original Modi Lipi content with the converted output.
- Identify and correct inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually incorrect translations/transcriptions.
- Ensure correct spelling, words, sentence structure, names, places, dates, and historical terminology.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across digitized documents.
- Provide feedback on recurring conversion errors to help improve the software/AI model.
- Work closely with the technology team to improve the quality of automated Modi Lipi conversion.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality while handling historical and sensitive documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Marathi language and grammar.
- Good working knowledge of Marathi Modi Lipi is mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret historical Marathi documents written in Modi script.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
- Valuable understanding of Marathi vocabulary, terminology,



names, places, and historical references.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work with web-based software/tools.
- Prior experience in Modi Lipi transcription, translation, manuscript digitization, proofreading, archival work, or Marathi language projects will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate
- Marathi language expert with demonstrated proficiency in Modi Lipi.
- Candidates with a background in History, Marathi Literature, Linguistics, Archaeology, Archives, or related fields are preferred.
- Freshers with strong Modi Lipi reading skills may also be considered.

What You Will Do on a Typical Day The primary responsibility will be to review and validate the daily output generated by the software, identify incorrect conversions from Modi Lipi, and edit the output to achieve accurate and reliable Marathi text. Why Join Us?
