We are currently developing our first product, Factory — a B2B marketplace connecting buyers directly with manufacturers across the world.

About the role

As a team member, you will be responsible for identifying, contacting, educating, and onboarding manufacturers and suppliers in Tamil Nadu onto Factory.

You will represent Factory in Tamil Nadu, working directly with manufacturers to introduce the platform and assist suppliers in creating high-quality profiles that clearly present their products, capabilities, and manufacturing operations.

This role requires strong local market knowledge, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to build trust with manufacturers while executing consistently in the field.

Responsibilities

- Identify and reach out to manufacturers and suppliers across Tamil Nadu
- Introduce Factory to manufacturers and clearly explain the platform, its value proposition, and the onboarding process
- Visit factories, make calls, and communicate directly with manufacturers, exporters, suppliers, and business operators
- Assist manufacturers in creating complete, high-quality company profiles
- Collect and organize company information, product details, catalogs, photos, videos, and other relevant materials
- Help suppliers clearly and professionally present their products, capabilities, facilities, and manufacturing operations
- Coordinate with manufacturers who need assistance capturing photos, videos, or product and catalog information




- Ensure onboarded company profiles meet Factory’s quality standards
- Maintain ongoing communication and follow up with manufacturers throughout the onboarding process
- Track onboarding activity and maintain organized records of manufacturer outreach and progress
- Report progress, manufacturer feedback, and market insights

You should have

- Strong knowledge of the manufacturing and business ecosystem in Tamil Nadu
- Experience in business development, sales, supplier relations, sourcing, or field onboarding
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain digital platforms and new concepts in a simple and practical way
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working independently and managing supplier follow-ups
- Ability to build trust with manufacturers, suppliers, exporters, and business operators
- Professionalism, persistence, and exceptional execution discipline

- Existing network of manufacturers, suppliers, exporters, or factory operators in your region
- Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, exporters, or related businesses
- English proficiency

Compensation

- 500 USD per month
- Performance-based bonuses
