The Manager - Modern Key Accounts will be responsible for driving business growth across retail brand accounts, retail chains, and corporate key clients on a Pan-India scale. This strategic role involves building relationships with top architects and interior designers, securing product specifications in new retail showrooms/stores, executing Annual Rate Contracts (ARCs), and coordinating cross-functionally across internal teams (Design, Product Management, and Customer Service) to deliver target revenue and high customer satisfaction.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, product management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive lighting strategies that meet client requirements and exceed industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Management & Expansion
- Pan-India Retail Collaboration: Partner with national retail brands, corporate chains, and commercial clients to secure Jaquar products in upcoming showrooms, flagship stores, and rollout developments across India.
- Model Approvals & Specifications: Get Jaquar product lines specified and approved by corporate decision-makers, retail brand leads, and project architects for all upcoming store formats.
- Annual Rate Contracts (ARC): Lead commercial negotiations, establish terms, and execute Annual Rate Contracts (ARCs) with key corporate accounts and brand partners.
2. Stakeholder & Influencer Engagement
- Maintain and nurture high-value relationships with leading Architects, Interior Designers, and Consultants specializing in the retail, commercial, and hospitality segments.
- Position Jaquar as the preferred single-source provider for luxury bath and lighting solutions across key design and retail projects.
3. Target Achievement & Product Planning
- Target Delivery: Consistently deliver yearly/annual sales targets for the designated key accounts portfolio.
- New Product Development (NPD):
Work closely with Product Managers to communicate specific market/brand requirements and drive Current Product Development tailored to evolving modern retail standards.
- Inventory & Stock Coordination: Maintain accurate demand forecasting and stock availability with supply chain teams to ensure uninterrupted delivery for brand rollouts.
4. Team Leadership & Support Management
- Lead, guide, and streamline daily operations for assigned Sales Support, Design/CAD Support, and Customer Service teams to maximize operational efficiency and project turnaround times.
- Ensure end-to-end service excellence from initial pitch to post-installation customer care.
5. MIS & Reporting
- Maintain structured Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reporting to Senior Management on pipeline status, account performance, revenue achievements, market intelligence, and competitor activities.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in business administration, Marketing, Architecture, Civil/Technical discipline, MBA/PGDM is highly preferred
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in:
- Key account management
- Modern Trade/B2B Sales within building material
- Sanitaryware, Tiles, Lighting, Modular systems or related interior architecture sectors
- Established network of relationships with retail brand roll-out teams, corporate procurement leads, architects, and interior designers.
- Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in securing high-value ARCs and managing multi-location corporate accounts
- Proven track record in guiding cross-functional or support teams to achieve key metrics
