Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Unit Manager to manage the complete operations of Atithi's catering units at client locations.

The Unit Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, food quality, hygiene, manpower management, client satisfaction, cost control, statutory compliance and overall performance of the assigned unit.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the catering unit at the client site.
- Ensure timely preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, beverages and other catering requirements as per the contract/SOW.
- Maintain consistent food quality, taste, quantity and presentation.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Manage and supervise all deployed manpower at the unit.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure proper manpower deployment and attendance.
- Monitor staff grooming, discipline, uniform and personal hygiene.
- Coordinate with the client for daily operational requirements and service-related matters.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with client representatives.
- Attend client meetings and address operational complaints and concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with the agreed menu, SOW, service standards and contractual requirements.
- Monitor food and raw material consumption to control wastage and maintain food cost.
- Ensure proper storage, FIFO/FEFO and stock management.
- Monitor procurement and ensure availability of required raw materials and consumables.
- Maintain records of stock, consumption, wastage and daily meal counts.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, pantries, equipment and service areas.
- Coordinate with the central procurement/operations team for material and operational requirements.
- Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance/repairs whenever required.
- Ensure all required statutory,



safety and operational records are properly maintained.
- Monitor attendance, overtime and manpower-related requirements.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor client feedback and take corrective actions wherever required.
- Ensure successful implementation of client instructions and company policies.
- Support audits, inspections and client reviews.
- Identify operational issues and take timely corrective action.
- Ensure the unit operates within the approved budget and commercial parameters.

Client & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary operational point of contact between Atithi and the client.
- Understand and fulfil client expectations.
- Maintain regular communication with HR, Admin, Facility and other client representatives.
- Handle client complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain service quality and client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for improving service quality and client experience.
- Support the Business Development team during client visits, inspections and new business discussions whenever required.

Manpower Management
- Supervise all unit-level employees and workers.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability during all shifts.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, grooming and discipline.
- Train employees on hygiene, food safety, service standards and workplace discipline.
- Identify manpower shortages and coordinate with HR/Operations for replacement or recruitment.
- Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to the Operations team.

Food Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure implementation of company food safety and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular kitchen and service-area inspections.
- Ensure proper personal hygiene and grooming of all food handlers.




- Monitor temperature control, food storage and food handling practices.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas.
- Maintain required hygiene checklists and records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and statutory requirements.

Required Skills

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in industrial catering, corporate catering, institutional catering, hotel/food service operations, facility management or similar service industries will be preferred.

Experience in managing large industrial/corporate client sites will be an advantage.
