- Patron Accounts: Register new library users, issue library cards, and update contact profiles.

- Fines and Fees: Calculate and collect payments for overdue items, lost materials, or printing services, ensuring accurate cash management.

- Interlibrary Loans: Coordinate with other institutions to request, receive, and deliver materials for faculty and student research.

Collection & Inventory Maintenance

- Shelving and Organization: Sort and shelve materials promptly according to institutional classification systems (such as the Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress systems).

- Shelf Reading: Regularly scan shelves to ensure all books are in their exact, correct order.

- Inventory and Weeding: Assist with routine stock checks, verify inventory records, and pull damaged or outdated materials for repair or disposal.

Technical Services & Cataloguing





- Database Updates: Receive newly acquired books and journals, unpack shipments, and enter bibliographic data into the digital catalogue.

- Material Processing: Affix barcodes, RFID tags, spine labels, and protective covers to new library resources.

- Repairs: Mend slightly torn pages, secure loose bindings, and clean soiled items to extend the lifespan of the collection.

Patron Support & Outreach

- Reference and Research: Guide students and faculty on how to use library catalogues, locate specific research databases, and find necessary physical or digital texts.

- Tech Support: Help visitors operate in office technology, such as public computers, printers, and microfilm readers.

- Event and Display Assembly: Set up library spaces for orientations, author readings, or student workshops, and assist in creating thematic book displays.
