About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Lathe Machine Turner / Conventional Lathe Operator to join our team.

The candidate will be responsible for machining engineering plastic rods, sheets, blocks and components as per customer requirements, dimensions and drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate conventional lathe machines safely and efficiently
- Turning, facing, boring, drilling and threading operations
- Machine engineering plastic materials such as Nylon, PP, POM / Delrin, HDPE, PTFE, Cast Nylon and other plastics
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and dimensions
- Perform accurate measurements using vernier caliper, micrometer and other measuring instruments
- Maintain required dimensions and surface finish
- Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy
- Minimize material wastage and maintain good productivity
- Maintain cleanliness and safety around the machine




- Follow production schedules and customer specifications

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Lathe Machine Turner / Conventional Turner preferred
- Experience in machining plastic or engineering plastic materials will be an advantage
- Knowledge of basic measuring instruments
- Ability to understand dimensions and drawings
- Good attention to accuracy and quality
- Responsible, punctual and willing to work as part of a team

Preferred Experience

Experience with machining Nylon, POM / Delrin, PTFE, PP, HDPE, Cast Nylon and other engineering plastics will be preferred.
