Design Engineer - Bearing Solutions

Employment Type: Full Time (6 days a week).

Location: Kanpur, India

n

We are designers and manufacturers of high precision Fluid Film Bearings for use in Turbines, Gearboxes, Compressors and other sophisticated rotating machinery.

n

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our Product Engineering Team. You will play a key role in designing high-performance bearings and optimizing them for performance and durability. This role requires solid analytical skills, proficiency with CAD/CAM tools, and a deep understanding of material selection and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

n

n
Design and develop bearing components and assemblies for a wide range of applications.
n
Collaborate with relevant teams to optimise designs for production efficiency and quality control.
n
Prepare 2D/3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, BOMs etc.
n
Prepare Route Cards and CNC Machining programs using CAM.
n




Document design processes, maintain technical files, and contribute to design standards.
n
Engage in continuous improvement activities for product performance and cost-effectiveness.
n

Qualifications

n

n
Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
n
Minimum 5 years of experience in design of precision mechanical components.
n
Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
n
Robust understanding of Tribology and Material Science.
n
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA or similar).
n
Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam, Powermill or similar).
n
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC Turning, Milling, Drilling etc.
n
Ability to work with ERP systems.
n

Salary: 50-100k/month depending on qualifications, experience and skills.
