JOB Title : Economics & Business Management Teacher – IB Curriculum

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
Plan and deliver engaging IB Economics and Business Management lessons aligned with IB curriculum frameworks.
n
Develop inquiry-based, student-centred learning experiences that promote critical thinking, analysis, and real-world application.
n
Teach and support students in understanding economic theories, business concepts, case studies, market structures, finance, marketing, and global business.
n
Prepare students for IB assessments, examinations, Internal Assessments (IA), and other coursework.
n
Guide students in research, data interpretation, business case analysis, and evidence-based decision-making.
n
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
n
Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
n




Integrate current economic, business, and global affairs into classroom discussions.
n
Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary and IB learner-profile development.
n
Participate in parent meetings, school events, career development, and other academic responsibilities.
n

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

n

n
Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
n
Experience teaching IB DP Economics and/or Business Management preferred.
n
Robust knowledge of IB curriculum, assessment criteria, IA requirements, and examination standards.
n
Excellent communication, classroom management, analytical, and mentoring skills.
n
IB training/certification will be an added advantage.
