Job Description:

A Dispatch Officer coordinates the movement of goods, vehicles, and field personnel. They manage schedules, track active routes in real time, and serve as the main communication link between drivers, warehouses, management, and customers to ensure secure and timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities
Scheduling and Routing: Plan productive delivery routes using GPS and logistics software while adapting to traffic or weather delays.
Communication: Relay instructions and status updates to drivers or field teams via two-way radios, phones, or digital systems.
Monitoring: Track active vehicle locations, monitor daily vehicle availability, and optimize load sizes.
Documentation: Maintain logs of shipments, record call details, raise invoices, and verify transport bills.
Problem Solving: Resolve schedule conflicts,



manage last-minute changes, and handle operational emergencies or delays.

Skills and Qualifications
Communication: Clear verbal and listening skills for fast-paced coordination.
Organization: Solid multitasking and time-management abilities.
Technical Literacy: Familiarity with GPS tracking, multi-line phone systems, and MS Excel or enterprise logistics software.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; higher education or specialized logistics training is a plus.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of prior experience in customer service, transport, or supply chain operations.
