We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Asset Manager to lead the comprehensive management of our hardware and software assets. This is a senior individual-contributor role responsible for setting strategy and policy across the full asset lifecycle, driving compliance, and delivering cost-saving initiatives. You will operate with strong command of both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM), serving as the subject-matter expert and primary partner to Finance, Procurement, and IT leadership.
Responsibilities:
What You'll Do Strategic Oversight & Lifecycle Management

- Own hardware inventory accuracy and lifecycle compliance across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement and Finance to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and identify cost-saving opportunities through reuse, rightsizing, and license reallocation.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and produce leadership-level reporting on asset utilization, compliance posture,
and savings opportunities. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor Asset Managers (IC2) and Associates/Analysts (IC1), providing guidance on HAM and SAM processes and career development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with IT, Security, and other departments to ensure assets and licenses are governed effectively and securely.
- Develop and deliver executive-ready reports and dashboards on asset utilization, compliance status, and savings.
Requirements:
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Hands-on experience in IT asset management, with demonstrated depth across both Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with ITAM/SAM tooling and a strong understanding of the ITIL/ITSM framework, including how incident, change, and problem management relate to the asset lifecycle. Experienced managing assets across on-premise, cloud, and SaaS environments.
- Leadership & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex, high-impact problems, and to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Professionalism: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences; strong customer-service orientation and commitment to operational excellence.
- Work Workplace: Collaborative team player, willing to work from our Bangalore office.
