Role Description This is a full time, on-site Import Customer Service role based in Mumbai, focused on CHA and freight forwarding operations. The role involves coordinating import shipments, liaising with customers, overseas agents, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate movement of cargo.

Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing import documentation, tracking consignments, resolving customer queries, and updating clients on shipment status. The position also requires close coordination with customs brokers, shipping lines, and transport partners, as well as maintaining accurate records and supporting billing and invoicing processes.



The team member is expected to uphold high service standards and contribute to smooth end-to-end import operations.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Import and Import Export processes and procedures, including documentation and compliance.
- Experience in Export and International Trade operations, preferably within CHA and freight forwarding.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to manage inquiries, handle issues, and maintain professional communication.
- Familiarity with logistics, shipping lines, and customs clearance workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional regional language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic logistics or ERP software; prior experience with freight management systems is a plus.
- Relevant academic background in logistics, international business, or a related field; prior experience in freight forwarding or CHA operations is highly desirable.
