HR Executive / HR Generalist

About the Role
BBUL Jain Vidyalaya is looking for a proactive and organized HR Executive / HR Generalist to independently manage the school's end-to-end HR operations.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, attendance, payroll coordination, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and day-to-day HR administration for teaching and non-teaching staff.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Manpower Planning
- Handle end-to-end recruitment for teaching and non-teaching positions.
- Source candidates through job portals, referrals, LinkedIn and other channels.
- Screen profiles, coordinate interviews and manage candidate communication.
- Coordinate with the Principal and management on manpower requirements.
- Prepare offer letters and appointment documentation.
Onboarding & Employee Documentation
- Manage joining formalities and employee onboarding.
- Maintain complete and updated employee records.
- Collect and verify employee documents.
- Coordinate background and reference checks when required.
- Conduct HR orientation for new employees.
Attendance, Leave & Payroll
- Maintain employee attendance and leave records.
- Monitor late attendance, absenteeism and leave balances.
- Prepare monthly payroll inputs.
- Coordinate salary processing with accounts/management.
- Maintain records related to deductions, incentives and employee benefits.
Employee Relations
- Address staff queries and HR-related concerns.
- Support management in handling employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain professional communication between employees and management.
- Support initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
Performance Management
- Coordinate staff probation confirmations.
- Support annual and periodic performance reviews.
- Maintain appraisal and performance documentation.
- Coordinate feedback between employees, department heads and management.
HR Policies & Compliance
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to school HR guidelines and applicable labour regulations.
- Coordinate PF, ESI and other statutory requirements wherever applicable.
- Maintain employee files, registers and statutory HR documentation.
Exit Management
- Manage resignation and exit formalities.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Coordinate notice-period requirements.
- Prepare relieving and experience letters.
- Coordinate full-and-final settlement with accounts.
HR MIS & Administration
- Maintain HR trackers and monthly HR reports.
- Track vacancies, recruitment status, attendance and employee turnover.
- Prepare HR data and reports for school management.
- Support management with manpower budgeting and workforce planning.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR operations or HR generalist roles.
- Experience in a school, educational institution or people-intensive organization will be preferred.
- Good understanding of recruitment, payroll coordination, attendance and employee lifecycle management.
- Basic knowledge of PF, ESI and labour compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and HR documentation.
- Ability to work independently and interact confidently with teachers, staff, Principal and management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills Candidates with prior experience in school HR, teacher recruitment, academic manpower planning and HR administration within an educational institution will be given preference.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the HR function rather than only assist with HR activities . The candidate should be approachable with employees, disciplined with processes, and capable of managing HR operations independently.
Salary: Up to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
