Role Description
The Reporter role at NY Daily Trends is a full-time, on-site position based in Madanapalle. The Reporter will research, investigate, and produce news stories on local and regional topics, conducting interviews, attending events, and monitoring breaking news. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clear and engaging articles, verifying facts and sources, and collaborating with editors to refine story angles and meet publication deadlines. The Reporter will also work with multimedia elements such as photos, video clips, and social content to enhance storytelling and reach wider audiences. This role involves active community engagement, maintaining skilled relationships with sources, and adhering to ethical journalism standards.

Qualifications
- Strong reporting skills, including interviewing, fact-gathering, and news research




- Excellent written communication and news writing abilities
- Ability to work with multimedia formats such as photos, video, and digital platforms
- Effective verbal communication and collaboration skills within editorial teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Demonstrated ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments
- Knowledge of journalistic ethics, media law basics, and accuracy in reporting
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools, social media, and content management systems
- Fluency in English; additional local language skills for reporting in Madanapalle are an advantage
