Job Purpose To ensure the safety, discipline, well-being, hygiene, and overall smooth functioning of the residential hostel. The Warden will be responsible for providing proper supervision and support to students and maintaining a protected, positive, and well-organized hostel workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and monitor students residing in the hostel.
- Maintain discipline and ensure students follow hostel rules and regulations.
- Maintain daily student attendance and hostel records accurately.
- Monitor students' daily routines, including wake-up, meals, classes, study time, and bedtime.
- Ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene of hostel premises, rooms, washrooms, and common areas.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other support staff for regular cleaning and maintenance.
- Monitor students' health and immediately report illness, injury, or emergencies to the concerned authority.
- Accompany students to hospitals/medical facilities whenever required.
- Maintain records of medical visits, incidents, and emergencies.
- Ensure proper use and safety of hostel equipment and facilities.
- Be familiar with the fire extinguisher and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Monitor visitors and ensure that unauthorized persons do not enter the hostel.
- Maintain proper records of students going home, returning to the hostel, and taking leave.
- Ensure students follow timings related to mobile phones, food orders, outings, and other hostel activities.
- Counsel students when required and report serious behavioural or disciplinary concerns to the management.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians regarding student-related matters when instructed.
- Conduct regular hostel rounds and identify maintenance or safety issues.
- Ensure hostel doors,



electrical equipment, water facilities, fans, lights, and other basic facilities are functioning properly.
- Immediately report any maintenance, safety, or security concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and organizational information.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly hostel reports to the reporting authority.
- Support hostel activities, student programs, and organizational requirements as assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager / Centre Head.

Required Qualifications
- Graduation in any discipline preferred.
- Previous experience in hostel management, residential care, student supervision, or social-service organizations will be an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Word and Excel.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
