HONORARY STATE PRESIDENT – DELHI CHAPTER

Veterans India invites applications and nominations for the position of Honorary State President – Delhi Chapter.

Location: Delhi

Engagement: Full-Time Honorary Volunteer Leadership Role

ABOUT VETERANS INDIA

Veterans India is a national, apolitical and patriotic organisation led by veterans and committed to nation-building through disciplined civic participation, youth leadership, veterans’ engagement, education, community service and sustainable social-development programmes.

Its principal initiatives include the Volunteer Patriotic Reserve Force (VPRF), Rashtra Seva Sankalp, Veterans India VPRF Centres in higher educational institutions, veterans–youth engagement, leadership development, skill development, disaster preparedness, environmental action and community mobilisation.

ROLE OVERVIEW The Honorary State President will be the principal volunteer leader responsible for establishing, strengthening and sustainably expanding the Veterans India Delhi Chapter.

The selected person must be a respected, capable and well-connected leader who can devote substantial time, leadership and personal resources to advancing the organisation’s objectives. The position will function under the guidance of Veterans India National Headquarters and the Founder & National President.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide strategic, organisational and ethical leadership to the Delhi Chapter.
- Build an effective Veterans India organisational structure across all districts, subdivisions, wards and local communities of Delhi.
- Identify and mentor suitable District Presidents and other office-bearers, subject to approval by National Headquarters.
- Represent Veterans India before government departments, universities, colleges, schools, PSUs, corporate organisations, veterans’ associations, RWAs and civil-society institutions.
- Expand VPRF membership among veterans, students, youth, professionals, educators and responsible citizens.
- Establish and activate Veterans India VPRF Centres in universities, colleges, schools and other institutions.
- Lead Rashtra Seva Sankalp and other approved patriotic, educational, leadership and community-development programmes.
- Develop institutional partnerships and mobilise authorised CSR support, sponsorships and resources for the sustainability of the Delhi Chapter.
- Ensure that veterans and ex-servicemen receive priority in suitable activities where their experience and professional competence can add value.
- Maintain verified records of members, office-bearers, activities, beneficiaries, partnerships, finances and programme outcomes.
- Submit periodic performance reports and participate in national reviews,



orientations and coordination meetings.
- Protect the name, reputation, apolitical character and intellectual property of Veterans India.
- Ensure compliance with the Constitution, policies, financial controls, brand guidelines and decisions of National Headquarters.

MANDATORY ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must

- Be permanent or long-term residents of Delhi.
- Be available to serve in a full-time honorary volunteer capacity.
- Possess sufficient personal time, mobility and resources to fulfil State-level responsibilities.
- Be willing to travel extensively across Delhi and attend national programmes when required.
- Have a strong Delhi-wide network across institutions, government, veterans, civil society, professions or the corporate sector.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and manage teams at State, District, ward and community levels.
- Possess strong leadership, communication, coordination and public-relations abilities.
- Have proven integrity, social credibility and a record of qualified, institutional or community service.
- Demonstrate the ability to mobilise partnerships and resources for organisational sustainability.
- Be capable of using email, WhatsApp, online meetings and digital reporting systems.
- Be willing to make the prescribed ₹1,00,000 State-level membership contribution through the authorised Veterans India payment process after selection.
- Remain strictly apolitical while representing Veterans India.
- Accept and uphold the principle of Nation First • Patriot First.
- Have no record of serious criminal misconduct, financial impropriety or conduct prejudicial to national integrity or Veterans India’s reputation.

PREFERRED PROFILES

Applications are particularly encouraged from:
- Veterans and retired members of the Armed Forces, CAPFs or police services.
- Retired senior government, PSU, academic or institutional leaders.
- Vice-Chancellors, professors, principals and educationists.
- Corporate, CSR, legal, medical, administrative and social-sector leaders.
- Entrepreneurs and recognised community leaders with a strong Delhi-wide network.
- Professionals experienced in institution-building, fundraising, programme implementation, partnerships or volunteer management.

Veterans India welcomes qualified patriotic citizens from all professional backgrounds. Selection will be based on integrity, suitability, availability, leadership capacity, verified credentials and alignment with the organisation’s mission.





INITIAL PRIORITIES The selected leader will be expected to:

- Constitute a competent Delhi State Executive Committee.
- Establish active leadership teams across every district of Delhi.
- Expand VPRF membership and active volunteer participation.
- Establish VPRF Centres in suitable educational institutions.
- Activate Rashtra Seva Sankalp Centres across Delhi.
- Build partnerships with government bodies, HEIs, schools, PSUs, corporate organisations, RWAs and veterans’ associations.
- Prepare a 90-day action plan and an annual programme, partnership and resource-mobilisation plan.
- Implement measurable and financially sustainable State-level programmes.

NATURE OF APPOINTMENT

This is an honorary volunteer leadership opportunity and does not create an employer–employee relationship. No salary, fixed honorarium, allowance or employment benefit is attached to the position.

Continuation will depend on performance, conduct, compliance and organisational requirements. The appointment may be withdrawn in cases of inactivity, misconduct, misrepresentation, financial irregularity, political misuse, reputational risk or violation of organisational policies.

MEMBERSHIP AND SELECTION DISCLAIMER The prescribed membership contribution does not guarantee selection or appointment. Selection will be based solely on integrity, suitability, leadership capacity, verified credentials and final approval by Veterans India National Headquarters.

No payment should be made during the application or preliminary selection stage. An official receipt will be issued for every authorised payment.
