Candidates must have current, end-to-end Life Insurance product development experience and should be currently working in a Product-Based Organization .

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Life Insurance Product Owner to drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for Life Insurance products and digital solutions. The ideal candidate should have robust hands-on experience in Life Insurance product development, Life Asia/core insurance platforms, digital transformation, BRD/FRD documentation, Agile delivery, and stakeholder management .

Key Responsibilities

- Define, manage and execute the product roadmap for Life Insurance products and digital solutions.
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle , from ideation and requirements through implementation, launch and post-launch optimization.
- Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales, Operations and IT teams to deliver product enhancements.
- Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements through detailed BRDs and FRDs .
- Work closely with technology teams to enhance, integrate and optimize Life Asia/core Life Insurance systems .
- Drive digital transformation initiatives focused on policy administration, customer experience and process efficiency .
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis and regulatory assessments to identify new product opportunities.




- Ensure products and processes comply with IRDAI regulations and applicable insurance industry standards .
- Define product KPIs and monitor product performance using data-driven insights.
- Identify improvement opportunities across the customer journey and policy lifecycle .
- Work in an Agile environment , managing product backlogs, prioritization and delivery with technology teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of product features and enhancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of Product Management / Product Ownership experience .
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Life Insurance domain experience .
- Current experience in end-to-end Life Insurance product development is mandatory .
- Current employment with a Product-Based Organization is mandatory .
- Strong experience in preparing and managing BRDs and FRDs .
- Hands-on experience with Life Asia or other core Life Insurance platforms .
- Strong understanding of Policy Administration Systems .
- Experience in digital transformation and customer journey optimization .
- Strong understanding of Life Insurance product lifecycle and processes.
- Experience working with Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales and Technology functions.
- Good understanding of IRDAI regulations and insurance industry practices .
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies .
- Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar product/project management tools .
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.
