Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines on GCP.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data marts using BigQuery.
- Develop and manage ELT workflows using dbt for data transformation and modeling.
- Create efficient PySpark applications for large-scale data processing.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Implement data governance, data validation, and monitoring frameworks.
- Optimize query performance, storage, and compute costs in BigQuery.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and Business stakeholders to define data requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Support CI/CD implementation and deployment of data engineering solutions.

Technical Skills

- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).




- Hands-on expertise in:
- BigQuery
- dbt (Data Build Tool)

- PySpark

- Cloud Storage

- Dataflow (preferred)

- Dataproc

- Composer/Airflow
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced query optimization.
- Experience in designing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data quality, governance, and security best practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
