Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and academically strong HOD – MCA to lead the department, manage academic operations, mentor faculty members, and ensure quality teaching and learning. The candidate should have strong knowledge of MCA/Computer Science, academic administration, curriculum planning, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the overall academic and administrative activities of the MCA Department.
- Plan and monitor curriculum delivery, lesson plans, examinations, assessments, and academic schedules.
- Coordinate faculty workload, class schedules, teaching plans, and departmental activities.
- Mentor, guide, and evaluate faculty members to maintain high academic standards.
- Ensure effective implementation of university regulations, academic policies, and institutional guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Vice Principal, IQAC, examination cell, and other departments.
- Monitor student attendance, academic performance, discipline, and overall development.
- Organize seminars, workshops, guest lectures, technical events, internships, and industry interactions.
- Promote project-based learning, research activities, publications, and innovation within the department.
- Support student placements, career development, industry collaborations, and professional certifications.
- Maintain departmental records, reports, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to NAAC/NBA-related documentation, accreditation activities, audits, and quality initiatives.
- Participate in admissions, student counselling,



orientation programs, and institutional events when required.
- Identify opportunities for industry and academic collaborations and support institutional growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- MCA / M.Tech / M.E. / Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or a relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. will be preferred.
- Strong academic and administrative experience in higher education.
- Candidates with experience under a university/UGC-regulated academic environment will be preferred.

Required Experience

- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant teaching experience, with experience in an academic leadership/coordination role preferred.
- Experience handling departmental administration, faculty coordination, examinations, academic planning, and student activities.
- Experience with NAAC/IQAC documentation and accreditation processes will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
