Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Head of CAMO / Quality Manager to lead and oversee the Continuing Airworthiness Management and Quality functions for our helicopter charter operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring that all aircraft under the organisation's management and operations remain compliant with applicable DGCA regulations, airworthiness requirements, safety standards, and approved procedures.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in helicopter operations, robust technical and regulatory knowledge, relevant qualifications and approvals, and a well-established professional network within the aviation industry and DGCA ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
CAMO & Continuing Airworthiness
- Lead and manage all Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) activities for the company's helicopter fleet.
- Ensure continuous compliance with applicable DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements, airworthiness regulations, and approved organisational procedures.
- Oversee aircraft maintenance planning, maintenance programmes, reliability monitoring, and continuing airworthiness records.
- Ensure timely planning and execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Monitor aircraft airworthiness status, including mandatory inspections, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, component life limits, and other applicable requirements.
- Coordinate with approved maintenance organisations, OEMs, vendors, and technical service providers.
- Ensure proper maintenance and technical documentation for all operating helicopters.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance
- Act as the Quality Manager, responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's Quality Management System.
- Develop, review, and implement quality assurance policies, manuals,
procedures, and compliance systems.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformities.
- Coordinate and support DGCA inspections, audits, approvals, renewals, and surveillance activities.
- Ensure that all regulatory documentation and approvals remain current and valid.
- Identify compliance gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
DGCA Liaison & Approvals
- Serve as a key point of contact with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and other relevant aviation authorities.
- Manage and coordinate regulatory submissions, approvals, amendments, renewals, and correspondence.
- Support the organisation in obtaining and maintaining required CAMO, quality, airworthiness, and operational approvals.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with relevant regulatory authorities and aviation stakeholders.
- Keep management updated on changes in DGCA regulations and their impact on helicopter operations.
Team & Operational Management
- Build and lead the CAMO and Quality team as required.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to maintenance planning and airworthiness personnel.
- Work closely with Flight Operations, Maintenance, Safety, and senior management to ensure safe and compliant helicopter operations.
- Develop systems and processes to improve operational efficiency, compliance, and aircraft availability.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management regarding fleet status, airworthiness, quality findings, compliance issues, and regulatory matters.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management, Quality Assurance, Aircraft Maintenance, or a related aviation function.
- Significant experience specifically in helicopter operations and helicopter continuing airworthiness is highly preferred.
- Experience in handling DGCA approvals, audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance matters.
- Previous experience in a senior CAMO, Quality, Airworthiness, or Technical Management role will be an advantage.
Qualifications & Approvals
- Relevant aviation engineering or aircraft maintenance qualifications as required for the position.
- Must meet the applicable DGCA eligibility, experience, competency, and approval requirements for the proposed role.
- Possession of relevant DGCA approvals/authorisations, where applicable, will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements, continuing airworthiness regulations, maintenance requirements, and quality systems.

Preferred Profile The ideal candidate will be a senior aviation professional with proven experience in helicopter operations, CAMO, continuing airworthiness, and quality management, along with the qualifications and regulatory eligibility required for the role. The candidate should be capable of independently establishing and managing the CAMO and Quality function and effectively coordinating with DGCA and other aviation stakeholders to ensure smooth, safe, and fully compliant operations.0.
