About My Client
Company is one of the leading corporate mobility and employee transportation company with almost more than 2 decades of operating experience, 4000+ vehicles/chauffeurs, operations across 300+ cities, 5M+ trips annually and around 500+ corporate clients.
Its Employee Transportation Services (ETS) business provides technology-enabled employee commute solutions covering automated rostering, scheduling, fleet deployment, route management and 24/7 command-center monitoring.
Role Overview
We are looking for a senior Operations & Mobility Leader to head Employee Transportation Services (ETS) operations across India.
The role will own the end-to-end operating engine of the ETS business including
- Service delivery,
- Fleet deployment,
- Chauffeur management,
- Regional/city operations,
- Command-Centre operations,
- SLA adherence,
- Process excellence,
- Technology adoption,
- Safety/compliance and
- Operational cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate should come from the Corporate Mobility, Employee Transportation, Fleet Management or Transportation Operations industry and have demonstrated experience managing large, multi-city or pan-India operations. This is an Operations-led growth role, focused on strengthening existing client relationships, improving service quality and increasing wallet share within existing accounts. New-client acquisition and primary sales responsibility will remain with the Sales/BD function.
Key Role & responsibilities
1. Employee Transportation & Service Delivery
- Own end-to-end Employee Transportation Services operations across multiple cities.
- Ensure fleet availability, chauffeur deployment, roster planning, route planning and daily trip fulfilment.
- Ensure high standards of on-time pickup/drop, trip completion and vehicle availability.
- Build robust fulfilment models for peak demand, current client launches and business expansion.
- Oversee 24/7 command-center operations and escalation management.
1. Pan-India Operations Leadership
- Lead regional operations heads, city/hub managers, command-center teams, fleet teams and vendor partners.
- Build a strong operational leadership pipeline and succession plan.
- Drive a high-performance, ownership-oriented operations culture.
- Develop strong frontline leadership and chauffeur engagement practices.
1. Fleet & Chauffeur Management
- Optimize owned, leased, vendor and EV fleet deployment.
- Improve vehicle utilization and chauffeur productivity.
- Drive chauffeur hiring, retention, training, performance and welfare.
- Ensure vehicle and chauffeur compliance with defined safety and service standards.
1. Process Excellence
- Own and standardize SOPs covering scheduling, dispatch, billing, incident management, compliance and service delivery.
- Drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Introduce Lean/Six Sigma-style process improvements wherever applicable.
- Standardize best practices across operating cities.
1. Technology & Data-Driven Operations
- Drive adoption of Company technology platforms for rostering, scheduling, GPS tracking, driver management and safety.
- Use MIS and operational dashboards for real-time visibility.
- Work closely with Technology/Product teams to improve automation and operational efficiency.
- Build data-driven operating reviews and performance dashboards.
1. Cost & Operational Efficiency
- Own operational economics including cost per trip/km,
fleet utilization and driver productivity.
- Identify opportunities to reduce fuel, maintenance and operational costs.
- Improve fleet productivity without compromising safety or service quality.
- Benchmark operational performance across cities and against industry standards.
1. Client Retention & Account Mining
- Act as senior operational escalation point for key corporate clients.
- Partner with Account Management/Sales teams to strengthen existing client relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling/up-selling services such as airport transfers, outstation, MICE and EV mobility.
- Improve client satisfaction, NPS and retention.
- Focus on increasing wallet share within existing accounts rather than new-logo acquisition.
1. Safety, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, transportation regulations and company policies.
- Strengthen women's safety, driver safety and vehicle safety protocols.
- Ensure audit readiness across locations.
- Drive reduction in operational and safety incidents.
Preferred candidate profile
- 10 to 17 years of overall experience in Employee Transportation, Corporate Mobility, Fleet, Transportation, Logistics or related mobility operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading multi-city or pan-India operations.
- Experience managing large frontline/chauffeur/vendor teams.
- Strong understanding of fleet utilization, cost per trip/km, productivity and operational P&L; levers.
- Experience with transport technology, TMS, GPS tracking, automated rostering/scheduling and operational dashboards.
- Strong understanding of SLA, safety, compliance and service delivery
- Experience managing senior corporate clients including HR, Administration, Facilities, Travel or CXO stakeholders.
- Lean/Six Sigma exposure would be an advantage.
