Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Test Engineer with robust expertise in IoT/embedded device testing, BLE, WiFi, firmware validation, and test automation. The candidate will be responsible for validating smart lock devices, developing automated test scripts, troubleshooting hardware/firmware issues, and working closely with hardware and firmware engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases for smart lock/IoT devices.
- Perform manual and automated testing of hardware functionality, connectivity, reliability, and performance.
- Validate Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and WiFi connectivity across different device states and environmental conditions.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, C, or similar languages.
- Configure and work with hardware test rigs and device controllers to simulate button presses, lock/unlock mechanisms, and wireless conditions.
- Test communication protocols, connection stability, data integrity, and edge cases.
- Perform firmware updates and firmware version validation.
- Debug hardware, firmware, connectivity, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineering teams for root-cause analysis.
- Maintain test documentation, test results, defect reports, and technical analysis.




- Use version control and testing frameworks as part of the development/testing process.

Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Hardware Testing / Embedded Testing / IoT Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in hardware testing and quality assurance.
- Excellent knowledge of BLE / Bluetooth Low Energy and WiFi.
- Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or similar programming languages for test automation.
- Experience with firmware testing, firmware updates, and device architecture.
- Experience with hardware test equipment, test rigs, device controllers, or automation frameworks.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with manual and automated testing.
- Knowledge of Git/version control and test documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have
- Experience testing smart locks, smart home devices, IoT products, or connected devices.
- Experience with HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing.
- Knowledge of wireless/RF testing.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or other hardware measurement equipment.
- Experience working closely with embedded firmware and hardware development teams.
