About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and motivated GoLang Intern to join our backend engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong hands-on experience with Golang and backend development through academic projects, personal projects, open-source contributions, or prior internship experience.

We are looking for candidates with a strong practical understanding of Go and backend engineering fundamentals who can independently work on well-defined backend tasks and contribute to production-quality systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will have the chance to work on scalable APIs, microservices, databases, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies while collaborating with experienced backend engineers.

Key Skills

- Strong hands-on knowledge of Golang
- Good understanding of Go fundamentals, including:
- Goroutines and concurrency
- Channels and synchronization
- Interfaces and composition
- Error handling
- Structs, pointers, and packages
- Go modules and dependency management
- Context and cancellation
- Experience building RESTful APIs using frameworks such as Gin, Echo, or Fiber
- Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication, API design, and status codes
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Familiarity with database indexing, transactions, joins, and query optimization
- Understanding of Redis and caching concepts
- Exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ is a plus
- Good understanding of Git, branching, pull requests, and code reviews
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus
- Understanding of unit testing in Go, including Go's testing package and Testify
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging backend applications




- Basic understanding of microservices and distributed systems is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Golang.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable, and production-quality Go code.
- Develop APIs with appropriate validation, error handling, authentication, and response structures.
- Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL and design efficient database queries.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in application and database layers.
- Implement appropriate caching strategies using Redis where required.
- Work with senior engineers to develop and maintain microservices.
- Understand existing backend architecture and contribute improvements where appropriate.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and maintain good test coverage for implemented functionality.
- Debug application issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Work with Git-based development workflows, including pull requests and code reviews.
- Assist in building and maintaining Dockerized backend applications.
- Gain hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.
- Implement proper application logging and contribute to monitoring and observability.
- Follow secure coding practices and help identify potential security issues.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end.




- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to engineering decisions.
- Continuously learn and apply Go best practices, backend design patterns, and modern engineering practices.

Educational Qualification
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with strong hands-on Go development experience through projects, open-source contributions, previous internships, or independent development are encouraged to apply.

Good to Have
- Experience building a complete backend project using Go.
- Experience working with Gin, Echo, or Fiber.
- Exposure to gRPC and protobuf.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis in a real project.
- Familiarity with Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to AWS/GCP/Azure.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or other observability tools.
- Contributions to open-source Go projects.
- Experience designing or implementing microservices.
