Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Production to lead and manage offshore production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective production in compliance with applicable HSE, regulatory, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee offshore oil & gas production operations, including day-to-day production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and within approved budgets.
- Manage production teams, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and offshore personnel.
- Monitor and optimize production performance, equipment reliability, and process efficiency.
- Develop and implement production plans, KPIs, operational strategies, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, offshore safety procedures, environmental regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Projects, Drilling, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams.
- Identify operational risks and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Review production reports, operational data, downtime, losses, and performance trends.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of production/process-related issues.
- Ensure effective emergency preparedness and response at offshore facilities.




- Participate in audits, inspections, management reviews, and regulatory interactions.
- Control operational costs and optimize manpower, materials, and resources.
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and present production performance reports to senior management.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Petroleum / Production Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification/MBA in Operations or Management will be an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas production operations.
- Strong preference for candidates with offshore production experience.
- Experience in managing large multidisciplinary teams and offshore facilities.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, process equipment, utilities, and offshore operating systems.
- Valuable understanding of HSE, PTW, SIMOPS, emergency response, risk assessment, and process safety.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: 10–20+ years in Oil & Gas / Offshore Production.
- Age: Preferably up to 40–47 years.
- Should have proven experience in a senior production/operations management role.
- Offshore rotation and international/multinational Oil & Gas experience will be an advantage.
- Must be willing to work in an offshore/rotational environment.
