We are looking for an experienced Garment Pattern Master responsible for translating designs and export tech packs into accurate, production-ready patterns. The role requires strong CAD expertise in Gemini (Gerber) and Richpeace, along with deep practical knowledge of garment construction, measurements and sewing.

The Pattern Master will own the technical journey from proto concept through final sample approval, ensuring every pattern delivers the required fit, measurements and construction standards.

Key Responsibilities :

1. CAD & Pattern Software Gemini & Richpeace

- Create, digitise and modify garment patterns using Gemini (Gerber) and Richpeace CAD systems.
- Perform pattern grading across full size ranges accurately within the CAD software.
- Prepare and optimise markers for efficient fabric consumption and cutting.
- Maintain an organised digital pattern library with correct naming, versioning and storage.
- Plot and print patterns to scale for sampling and bulk production use.

2. Garment Measurements & Tech Pack Creation Specs, POMs & Documentation

- Understand and apply basic and advanced garment measurements across all product categories.
- Create and maintain accurate tech packs, including measurement specs, Points of Measure (POM) and construction details.
- Prepare measurement charts and grading rules for each style and size set.
- Ensure all measurement documentation is clear, complete and ready for sampling and production teams.

3. Measurement Control & Sewing Accuracy at Every Stage

- Control and verify garment measurements at pattern, proto,



fit and pre-production stages.
- Identify and correct measurement deviations before they reach bulk production.
- Apply strong practical sewing knowledge to validate that patterns are sewable and construction-friendly.
- Work closely with sample tailors to ensure patterns translate correctly into stitched garments.
- Build measurement tolerances and shrinkage allowances into patterns wherever required.

4. Export Tech Pack Interpretation

- Read, interpret and fully understand export tech packs supplied by international buyers.
- Develop first patterns accurately from buyer tech packs, measurement specifications and construction notes.
- Clarify ambiguities in buyer specifications proactively before pattern development begins.
- Ensure patterns meet the buyer's exact measurement, fit and construction requirements.
- Adapt and revise patterns quickly in response to buyer comments and fit approvals.

5. Proto Concept to Final Sample Approval

- Develop the first proto pattern from concept, sketch or tech pack.
- Manage pattern revisions through fit, salesman and pre-production sample stages.
- Incorporate fit-comment corrections accurately at each round until final approval.
- Handle and track sample status, ensuring each stage is delivered on time.
- Maintain the approved final pattern and hand over correct, sealed patterns to bulk production.

6. Garment Construction – Technical Construction Expertise

- Apply deep knowledge of garment construction across knits and wovens, including baby, kids and other categories.




- Recommend correct seam types, allowances and construction methods for each style.
- Ensure patterns support efficient, cost-effective and quality construction on the sewing floor.
- Advise design and sampling teams on construction feasibility and improvements.

7. Team Building & Guidance

- Guide and mentor junior pattern makers and sample tailors on technique and accuracy.
- Build a disciplined, quality-focused pattern and sampling team culture.
- Share knowledge of CAD, measurements and construction to improve overall team capability.
- Coordinate workload within the pattern room to meet sampling deadlines.

8. Additional Responsibilities

- Maintain pattern and sampling records, documentation and version control.
- Support costing by advising on fabric consumption and construction complexity.
- Keep updated with new CAD features, construction techniques and industry practices.
- Ensure the pattern room follows quality, safety and housekeeping standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Hands-on expertise in Gemini (Gerber) and Richpeace pattern-making software – Essential.
- Proven ability to make, grade and correct patterns for knits and wovens.
- Ability to read export tech packs and create tech packs / measurement specifications.
- Robust practical knowledge of garment construction and sewing to validate patterns.
- Strong measurement control across proto, fit and pre-production stages.
- Solid experience as a Pattern Master in a garment / export manufacturing setup.
- Ability to guide a small team and coordinate with design, sampling and production.
