Position: Furnace Engineer – Shift

Experience: 4–8 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production, or a relevant engineering discipline.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Furnace Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in furnace operations and shift management. The candidate should have hardcore furnace experience and be capable of managing furnace operations, production activities, maintenance coordination, and manpower effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage furnace operations during assigned shifts and ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production.
- Monitor furnace parameters such as temperature, pressure, fuel consumption, and operating conditions.
- Ensure furnace is operated as per defined SOPs, process parameters, and safety standards.
- Handle start-up, shutdown, charging, melting/heating, and furnace operation activities.
- Troubleshoot furnace-related operational issues and coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdown resolution.
- Monitor furnace performance and take corrective action to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Manage and supervise shift manpower, including operators, technicians, helpers, and other shop-floor personnel.
- Allocate duties and ensure optimum manpower utilization during the shift.
- Maintain shift-wise production,



furnace operation, breakdown, and parameter records.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with PPE, fire safety, workplace safety, and furnace safety procedures.
- Train and guide furnace operators on proper operating procedures and safety practices.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in fuel/energy consumption, furnace efficiency, productivity, and process stability.
- Prepare and communicate proper shift handover reports.

Required Skills

- Solid hands-on/hardcore furnace operation experience.
- Good knowledge of furnace process parameters and troubleshooting.
- Strong man-management and shift-handling skills.
- Ability to manage operators and shop-floor teams effectively.
- Good understanding of production and furnace safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle shift-related operational issues.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience Candidates from furnace-based manufacturing, foundry, steel, metal, casting, forging, or heavy engineering industries will be preferred.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
