Founding Engineer — Eleven

Eleven is looking for a Founding Engineer to build the first version of its mobile platform.

Initially, Eleven will be built and optimized for the Entrext ecosystem . This gives us a real environment to test the product, understand user behavior, improve the system, and build something that actually works before expanding it further.

Once the product is validated and optimized internally, the plan is to bring in a Growth Co-Founder to help take Eleven to a wider market and scale it beyond the Entrext ecosystem.

This means you will be responsible for building the technical foundation that Eleven grows on.

What You'll Build

As the Founding Engineer, you will work across the complete technical stack of Eleven.

Your primary focus will be:

- Building the React Native + Expo mobile application.
- Designing and developing the backend architecture.
- Working with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL and Supabase .
- Setting up and managing authentication, databases, storage and realtime functionality.
- Designing scalable database schemas, relationships and secure data access.
- Implementing business logic, authorization and API integrations.
- Connecting the mobile application with backend services and real data.
- Building and testing complete end-to-end user flows.
- Handling notifications, file uploads, realtime functionality and third-party integrations where needed.
- Debugging issues across the mobile app, backend and database.
- Ensuring the application works reliably across iOS and Android .
- Making technical decisions around performance, security, scalability and reliability.
- Managing clean development workflows using Git/GitHub, environment management and deployment practices.

The Initial Mission The first goal is not to immediately build Eleven for everyone . We will first build and optimize Eleven for our own ecosystem at Entrext.

This gives us the opportunity to:

- Use the product ourselves.
- Test it with real users inside the ecosystem.
- Identify what works and what doesn't.




- Improve the product based on actual behavior.
- Fix technical and product issues early.
- Build a strong foundation before focusing heavily on external growth.

We want to make Eleven work deeply for one ecosystem before trying to make it work for the entire world. Once we have reached that point, we plan to bring in a Growth Co-Founder who will focus on distribution, growth, partnerships and taking Eleven to a broader market.

As the Founding Engineer, you would remain responsible for helping build and evolve the technical side of the company as it grows.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is not just a frontend developer or a backend developer.

You should be comfortable understanding and working across the entire system.

Ideally, you have:

- Strong experience with TypeScript .
- Good practical understanding of Node.js and backend development .
- Good understanding of PostgreSQL and database design .
- Experience with Supabase , or the ability to learn and work with it quickly.
- Good working knowledge of React Native + Expo .
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security and data validation.
- The ability to debug problems across frontend, backend and database systems.
- An understanding of mobile performance, networking and device limitations.
- A mindset for building reliable, production-ready systems.
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions.

This Is Not a Ticket-Based Engineering Role We are not looking for someone who only receives tasks like:

“Build this API.”

or:

“Create this screen.”

We are looking for someone who can think:

What are we trying to build, how should the system work, and what is the best way to make the entire experience reliable?





You should be comfortable owning a feature from:

Build Eleven as a mobile-first product for the Entrext ecosystem.

The focus will be on:

- Building the core product.
- Creating a strong technical foundation.
- Testing with real users.
- Improving based on actual usage.
- Optimizing the product before scaling.

Phase 2 — Validate and Strengthen Once the product is actively being used, we will focus on:
- Understanding user behavior.
- Improving retention and engagement.
- Fixing bottlenecks.
- Improving reliability and scalability.
- Strengthening the product based on real demand.

Phase 3 — Scale Eleven Once Eleven is ready to grow beyond the Entrext ecosystem, we plan to bring in a Growth Co-Founder to focus on:

- Distribution.
- Customer acquisition.
- Growth.
- Partnerships.
- Market expansion.

At this stage, the technical foundation built in the earlier phases becomes the base for scaling Eleven as a larger company.

This is a Founding Engineer position with up to 10% equity , depending on:

- Experience and technical capability.
- Level of commitment.
- Ability to take ownership.
- Contribution to the product and company over time.

We are looking for someone who wants to build for the long term. Eleven will begin inside the Entrext ecosystem, but the ambition is to build a product that can eventually grow far beyond it.
