Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem for a Food Processing Technology Professional. The skilled will design, implement, and optimize food processing workflows that support the college’s healthcare and nutrition objectives, with attention to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising food processing operations, coordinating with suppliers and agribusiness partners, and overseeing packaging design to ensure product integrity and patient-friendly formats. The role involves monitoring quality control procedures, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with medical, nutrition, and research teams on product development and process improvements.



The professional will also support training initiatives, contribute to innovation in food technology aligned with naturopathy and yoga practices, and participate in continuous improvement projects within the institution’s hospital and allied facilities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Food Processing and Food Industry operations, including familiarity with processing methods, equipment, and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control, covering inspection, testing, compliance with food regulations, and implementation of quality assurance systems.
- Candidates should possess skills in Packaging Design, including knowledge of materials, labeling, product stability, and user-centric packaging for healthcare settings.
- Candidates should possess skills in Agribusiness, such as sourcing raw materials, understanding supply chains, and working with primary producers and vendors.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional beneficial skills include knowledge of nutrition in healthcare, basic understanding of AYUSH or naturopathy principles, data-driven problem-solving, and familiarity with regulatory standards (FSSAI or equivalent).
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, strong documentation and reporting skills, and a commitment to ethical, sustainable practices are highly valued.
