Position: Field Technician – Poultry (India-Based)
We're seeking an experienced Field Technician based in India to manage customer service and support installation & training of customers across India.
This is a remote, travel-intensive role ideal for professionals in Poultry production, hatchery operations, Engineering, Animal Science who are passionate about innovation in poultry operations.
Responsibilities
Strategic Customer Management
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with customers including hatchery leadership and staff.
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely manner with the proper sense of urgency.
- Keep the regional manager informed of any customer concerns or needs for additional support.
- Perform system installs and complete all required documentation.
- Keep CE up to date with fully accurate data on all assigned accounts.
- Plan and execute trips to customer locations in the most productive manner.
- Monitor customer data and relay trends or concerns to regional manager and hatchery leadership if appropriate.
- Ensure each hatchery is properly maintaining Nova-Tech equipment through training and evaluations.
- Evaluate treatment processes and engage with appropriate Nova-Tech staff if concerns arise.
- Visit farms to evaluate treatment as needed and/or directed.
- Attend and participate in Poultry Division training dates.
- Provide customers with excellent service by conducting routine visits and checking in on service.
- Perform inventory audits at hatchery to ensure each location has an accurate and appropriate inventory.
- Provide feedback to Nova-Tech on experiences regarding quality in hatchery.
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Management, or Poultry Science
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service and marketing
- Strong knowledge of poultry hatchery processes, and production systems
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for business decisions
- Skilled in negotiation and technical solutioning
- Comfortable working with live animals and in rural/agricultural settings
- Proficient in MS Office; multilingual is a plus Strong negotiation and technical solutioning abilities
- Valid passport; open to 26+ weeks of international travel per year
